Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz is a prominent Bangladeshi television and film director, producer, and screenwriter. Born on August 10, 1981, in Narsingdi, Bangladesh, he later graduated from Dhaka College. Raz began his career in the entertainment industry as an assistant director under the renowned filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.
He made his mainstream directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film Projapoti (2011). The movie was a commercial success and won three National Film Awards. Following this breakthrough, he directed several notable films, including Taarkata (2014), Samraat (2016), Jodi Ekdin (2019), and Omar (2024).
Beyond cinema, Raz is widely celebrated for directing numerous popular television dramas, telefilms, and serials. He is also the founder of the production house Cinemawala. Through his distinctive storytelling and focus on emotional depth, Raz remains an influential figure in contemporary Bangladeshi media.
