Swastima Khadka (born July 4, 1995) is a celebrated actress and model who has become a defining face of modern Nepali cinema, often referred to by fans as the "Rashtriya Bhauju" (National Sister-in-law). After gaining early attention as a top-five finalist in Miss Teen Nepal 2012, she made a successful film debut in the 2015 teen romance Hostel Returns, which earned her a National Film Award nomination. She quickly rose to mainstream superstardom with commercial hits like Chhakka Panja 2 and Nai Nabhannu La 5, but it was her critically acclaimed performance as a tempo driver in the 2019 film Bulbul that cemented her status as a powerhouse performer, winning her the Best Actress trophy at the SAARC Film Festival.In her personal life, Swastima is married to the prominent Nepali film director and actor Nischal Basnet. The couple wed on February 17, 2016, following a high-profile engagement that captured the public's imagination, and they have since collaborated on several projects, including the film Ghamad Shere.
