Kate Murray

Biography

​Born in London, England, Kate learned her beloved trade of creature effects cutting her teeth on cult classics such as Clive Barker's Nightbreed, Lair of the White Worm and Split Second.

For 5 years she lived in Santiago, Chile running her own make-up effects company providing prosthetics, models and animatronics for dozens of commercials, television shows and for the film industry.

Returning to the UK, she continued her career as a sculptor and prosthetics artist on blockbusters such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Event Horizon, The Mummy and Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow.

Now a contented North Vancouver resident living with her family, she continues to work in the film and television industry in addition to taking on portrait commissions.
