His Imperial Majesty Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi was born in Tehran on October 26, 1919, and became Shahanshah of Iran in 1941.During his reign, he pursued the modernization and development of Iran through major reforms in education, healthcare, agriculture, industry, and social welfare.His era also witnessed significant economic growth, the expansion of educational institutions, and the advancement of women’s rights and opportunities.In January 1979, His Majesty left Iran and went into exile; he passed away in Cairo on July 27, 1980, and was laid to rest at Al-Rifa’i Mosque.
