Biography

Kostas Styliaris was born in 1940 in Orchomenos, Boeotia. He studied at the Drama School of the National Theatre. His first appearance was in 1963 with the "Theatre of Art", in O'Neill's play "The Iceman is Coming". From 1963 to 1966, he participated in performances of the "Theatre of Art". Subsequently, he had notable theatrical collaborations: A. Minotis, K. Paxinou, E. Lampeti, S. Linaios, N. Kourkoulos, with whose troupe he made his last appearance in the 1974-1975 season in Brecht's play "Tabourla in the Night", E. Photiou and others. He appeared in the films "The Cannon and the Nightingale" and "The Travelling Players" (by Th. Angelopoulos). He developed intense resistance activity during the dictatorship and was organized in the PAK. He died prematurely in 1975. His wife was the popular actress Nena Menti
