Philip King

Biography

Philip King was a graduate of the prestigious Ateneo De Manila University, and a product of the premiere film foundation, MDAFI, under the renowned Filipino filmmaker, Marilou Diaz- Abaya. He honed his craft as a scriptwriter while working for ABS-CBN, Philippines' largest network, where he wrote numerous top-rating series.

In 2018, he joined Rein Entertainment where he pursued his passion for film with his directorial debut, G!LU. A bittersweet, coming-of-age story - the screenplay of which, he wrote based on personal experiences. Now in the last stages of post-production, the movie is set for domestic release. He's also the writer, director and Creator of Tencent Pictures' first Filipino Original Series, the youth-oriented drama mystery "Section St. Valentine: The Disappearance of Divine.
