Burkay Doğan was born in Ankara in 1982. He graduated from Anadolu University Civil Engineering Department in 2005. He started photography at ANFO photography club and took part in 2 composite exhibitions. He won “Best Experimental Short Film Award” at the 19th Istanbul Short Film Festival with his first short film. Following the award, he went to he was among the film makers who went to The Netherlands as a cultural ambassador with the support of Dutch Embassy. He participated Hamburg Film Festival in 2007. Future Shorts, a London-based company, bought the distribution rights of his movie. The movie took part in “Best 9 Animations of the World” at Nine Nation Animation in USA. He won the jury special award in Adana Golden Boll Film Festival in 2009. In the following years, he continued to produce at least 2 films a year. He has produced around 30 short films and documentaries so far.
