Tillakaratne Dilshan (born October 14, 1976) is a former Sri Lankan cricket captain, aggressive opening batsman, and versatile all-rounder recognized as one of the most innovative players in the history of limited-overs cricket. He is globally famous for inventing the "Dilscoop"—an unorthodox ramp shot played over the wicketkeeper's head—and for leading Sri Lanka as a vital component during their golden run in international ICC tournaments.
