Óscar Guillermo Avilés Arcos (Callao, March 24, 1924 – Lima, April 5, 2014), better known as Óscar Avilés, was a Peruvian guitarist, music and record producer, singer, songwriter, arranger, and musical director. He was known as "The First Guitar of Peru" because he revolutionized the music of the country.
