Rick Kavanian

Biography

Rick Kavanian, born Richard Horatio Kavanian on January 26, 1971, in Munich, is a German actor, comedian, writer, and voice actor. He grew up in an Armenian family that had emigrated from Bucharest to Munich. His collaboration with Michael Herbig began in 1990 with a radio show and led to numerous successful film comedies and parodies, such as *Der Schuh des Manitu* and *Traumschiff Surprise – Periode 1*.

Rick is also known as a voice actor and has, among other roles, lent his voice to the German versions of Austin Powers and Marty from *Madagascar*.
