Santiago Fernández Peña (Mexico City, November 1, 2002) is a Film and Television student at the Center for Communication Sciences Studies (CECC), with a special interest in film directing. During his studies, he has participated in various audiovisual projects, developing his skills in different areas of production.

In 2024, he worked as a sound engineer on the short films Onibaba and Inevitable, and as a cinematographer on the short film Oblitus. In 2025, he worked as a cinematographer on the documentary El Porno de Ella, which was selected for the Stuff MX Festival. In 2026, he collaborated on the production design of the miniseries Ídolo.

His most notable work is his first short film as a director, 10 Años de Recuerdos (10 Years of Memories), which was selected for the 2025 La Paz Film Festival. The film explores themes such as memory, the passage of time, and personal experiences.

As a director, he has a particular interest in thrillers, dramas, and emotionally charged stories. His work focuses on characters, human conflicts, and decisions with consequences, using cinematic language to forge an emotional connection with the viewer. He is currently developing audiovisual projects with the aim of establishing his own voice as a filmmaker.
