Biography

Dimitrios Alexander Kapoukranidis is a composer of media and concert music based in central Vermont. His notable scores include dark “farm-punk” fantasy ‘The Butterfly Queen’ (2022), the hybrid short film “Koko Ni Inai: I’m Not Here” (2020), and the indie video game “You Got Played?” (2023), alongside a growing catalog of choral and chamber ensemble music for live performance. With a background ranging from contemporary classical, to metal, to folk and more, the focus of his music is on narrative and experience, and he strives to lend each project a unique sonic fingerprint to set it apart. The natural beauty of New England and the ever-changing landscape of music in media keep him inspired, and exploring the boundaries of narrative sound.
