Marco Di Filippo

Biography

Marco Di Filippo, born on June 4, 2001, in Cava de' Tirreni, Italy, is an independent film director and screenwriter. From an early age, he developed a passion for drawing, inspired by American comic books and the distinctive visual style of Tim Burton. In 2021, he moved to Rome to study filmmaking at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts.

In 2025, as part of the Progetto Fellini, an initiative promoted by RUFA and funded through Italy's PNRR, he co-directed Wanda with Tommaso Banti under the supervision of Alain Parroni. That same year, he directed his latest short film, Perduta Gente, co-written with Luca Cavalli. The film is currently distributed by Premiere Film and is screening at international film festivals.
