American jazz artist JONATHAN DELY has built a career across concert stages and screen, earning invitations from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, appearing in film and television projects for Netflix and others, and drawing praise from SFJAZZ as "performing material that appeals to lovers of Wynton Marsalis' clarion tone and Chris Botti's wide-ranging eclecticism.” Known for his silky trumpet sound, the musical versatility of his razor-sharp touring ensemble, and a one-of-a-kind live concert that both earns and transcends the label of “jazz,” Dely turned down a Wall Street career to pursue the musical arts, a journey that legendary director Bob Giraldi of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” adapted into the 2023 short film Goodbye Jonathan’s Soul, in which Dely stars as himself. Now a member of Harvard University’s Class of 2027, Dely is expanding his artistic vision. For this one-of-one artist, the journey is just beginning.
