Robert W. Peters is an American attorney, author, and media commentator. He served as president of Morality in Media, Inc., a nonprofit organization founded in 1962 to combat obscenity and promote standards of decency in media. Appointed president in 1992 after joining the organization as a staff attorney, Peters became a prominent public advocate on issues of media regulation, obscenity law, and broadcast indecency.

He has appeared as a guest commentator on numerous television programs, including Larry King Live, Hannity & Colmes, The O’Reilly Factor, Hardball with Chris Matthews, and The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, as well as major network news broadcasts. Peters is not known for acting and appeared in a professional and non-fiction capacity.
