Ana Cameña

Biography

Ana Cameña is an emerging filmmaker from Negros Occidental, Philippines, whose journey into cinema has been shaped by curiosity, perseverance, and a deep love for storytelling. Rather than following a traditional path through film school, she found her way into filmmaking through independent learning, hands-on experience, and collaborations with fellow creatives.

After stepping away from university, Ana built a career in the creative industry before reconnecting with her passion for film. She made her directorial debut with the short film Anino Sa Bukid, an official selection in the Binisaya Shorts Competition of the 16th Binisaya International Film Festival, created alongside friends and collaborators in Cebu.

Since then, she has continued to collaborate on independent film productions and immerse herself in the regional film community while developing her voice as a storyteller.
