Nakisa Sanai is an emerging filmmaker and visual artist based in British Columbia, working primarily in stop-motion animation. Her practice centres on building tactile, handcrafted worlds that explore memory, girlhood, identity, and the emotional landscapes of growing up.

Drawn to the quiet power of visual storytelling, she approaches film as both a technical and intimate process, constructing each frame by hand to create atmospheres that feel at once delicate and unsettling.
