Gracyn Carter

Biography

Gracyn Carter, originally from Orlando, is currently a fourth-year student studying Film and Media Arts and Digital Media at the University of Tampa. Her first film, an experimental short, Insomnia (2025), follows a young girl through a restless night. Shortly after, Figure Drawing (2025), a short documentary following and exploring her grandparents' love through art, won Best Documentary at the Black Box Film Festival. Her current short narrative, The Emergence (2026), is being finalized for submissions.
