According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has won a competitive bidding war to bring Siren Head to the big screen, adapting the viral horror phenomenon created by Canadian artist Trevor Henderson.

First introduced in 2018 as a series of unsettling photo manipulations, Siren Head quickly became one of the internet’s most recognizable monsters, inspiring millions of views across YouTube, fan films, indie games, creepypasta stories, and analog horror videos.

The Hollywood Reporter also revealed that Brian Duffield (No One Will Save You, Whalefall) will direct from a screenplay co-written with Zach Cregger (Barbarian, Weapons), with horror veteran Roy Lee producing alongside Andrew Childs, Scott Glassgold, and Duffield.

Trevor Henderson will executive produce the adaptation while retaining certain publishing and gaming rights to the character. Plot details remain under wraps for the time being.
