Manif Gay (1978)

Overview

First demonstration for gay and lesbian rights held in Madrid on 25 June 1978. In the images you can see all the convening organizations and personalities such as Ivan Zulueta or Eusebio Poncela himself during his tour of Menéndez Pelayo Street from O'Donnell to Mariano Plaza de Cavia. It ends with images of the press the next day, echoing the news of the filmed demonstration.
