Un Otorongo en Lima (1986)

Overview

Nicanor, an old man from Loreto, lives his last days in Lima, a city he hates. He tries to relive his past in Iquitos, building fireworks on the roof of his house, despite his wife's resistance. When he runs out of money to continue his work, he steals from his wife; later, he manages to light his firework displays. He then dies, having fulfilled his dreams.
