Overview

Italy, early 1930s. Thousands of peasants, recruited in the northeastern regions, leave their land to work on the reclamation of the Pontine Spamps. The "redenzione dell'Agro", with the construction of five new cities, quickly became a banner of fascist propaganda. Mussolini promises everyone a piece of land and the glory of having participated in a historic enterprise.
