Bedelia and the Suffragette (1912)

Overview

Bedelia gets a position with the Suffragette family and finds to her astonishment that the men of the family do the housework, while the mistress goes to the office and earns the daily bread. She soon has the man of the house and his sons at her mercy while the daughters endeavor to come to their rescue and are in turn treated to the hard hand of the law which is laid down by the autocratic kitchen queen. Matters finally come to such a state of turmoil that the lady of the house is 'phoned to come home. She finds a riot in progress and jumping into the fray proves herself such a militant suffragette that Bedelia does not even stop to shut the door. The now happy and contented family is left undisturbed.
