**AM I DEAD? is a haunting, thought-provoking supernatural drama that turns the afterlife into a courtroom of memory, regret, and self-examination.**

The film follows Jonah Rollins, a deeply flawed man who awakens in an endless black void after a terrifying incident at sea. Unsure whether he is dead, dreaming, or trapped somewhere between worlds, Jonah encounters a mysterious white-robed figure who gradually forces him to confront the life he lived—and the damage he left behind.

What makes **AM I DEAD?** compelling is that it never settles for being simply a story about death. Instead, it becomes a story about accountability. Jonah is not confronted by monsters in the traditional sense; he is confronted by memories, choices, relationships, and people he once convinced himself he had every right to hurt. The film asks an uncomfortable question: *What happens when every excuse you have ever made is stripped away, and all that remains are your actions?*

Visually, the endless black void gives the film an eerie, dreamlike quality. Its emptiness becomes almost another character, creating a sense that Jonah has nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. The mysterious figure at the center of his journey is especially effective because it does not behave like a traditional angel, demon, or judge. Instead, it challenges Jonah to judge himself.

At its strongest, **AM I DEAD?** is surprisingly emotional. Beneath the supernatural imagery is a very human story about fathers and daughters, marriage, prejudice, betrayal, missed opportunities, and the painful realization that saying you loved someone does not always mean you treated them with love.

The film also refuses to make redemption easy. Jonah cannot simply apologize and erase what happened. He has to see the consequences of who he became.

That is what gives the movie its weight.

**AM I DEAD? is eerie without depending on horror, spiritual without preaching, and emotional without losing its edge. It is ultimately less interested in asking what happens after we die than in asking something far more unsettling: If your life were played back to you without excuses, would you recognize the person you had become?**
