Glenn Ford is quite efficient as renowned golfer Ben Hogan in this tidy biopic of his life. Together with his wife Valerie (Anne Baxter - who provides quite an emotive narration, too), we follow his ground breaking career before they were both involved in a ghastly car accident that fractured his pelvis, collar bone and his ankle - all pretty debilitating for a golfer.
