I sorta don't mind movies that throw you in the deep end in terms of setting. No explanation, just "Werewolves and ghosts are real, deal with it, you wanna know how our werewolves and ghosts differ from somebody else's? Watch the damn movie, you'll figure it out". And that aspect of _Slice_ totally worked for me. But there was other things that didn't. Things like this playing out more like a couple of back-to-back episodes of a TV show than movi… read the rest.
