Unusually frank problem picture, and more remarkably, it is a British picture effectively set in New York. Mitchell anchors the picture as the judge presiding over the case of a 15-year-old girl who has been having sex with a middle-aged man. The sordid case involves abortion and syphilis, as well as true love.
