Full disclosure, I only watched _Satanic Panic_ because I knew Clarke Wolfe was in it, and I wanted to support her work. Anyway, it turns out that she's only in about 9 seconds of this movie, so if that was all it had to offer, I would've felt very ripped off. Fortunately! That was not even close to the case. ‘Satanic Panic’ is more than just a fast-paced, 88-minute horror-comedy with a catchy title. Along with the likes of Emma Tammi’s 'The Wind', Mitzi Peirone’s ‘Braid’, and Danishka Esterhazy’s ‘Level 16’, first-time director Chelsea Stardust demonstrates that some of the most subversive and exciting work in the horror field is being done by female directors right now.
