Overview

"Blue City" is very reminiscent of the type of film they made decades ago - except in this instance there is a lot more swearing on offer. It boasts a small ration of genuine surprises and one very duplicitous character which truly works. The mystery at the heart of this film - who murdered Billy Turner's father? Passably entertaining at times, this southern-noir drama doesn't exactly have top-notch acting from Judd Nelson who seemed to be playing an extension of his character from Breakfast Club. Fellow "Brat Pack" member Ally Sheedy was fine but nothing extraordinary. It's on the predictable side but at least was watchable I suppose. **2.75/5**
