Norman McLaren mixes two short films here. The first "Dots" consists entirely of images on a red background caused by placing an ordinary pen directly onto the 35mm film - most of the images are just dots, or blobs. The second "Loops" does a similar thing, but with the objects this time having a complete, hollow shape - like an heart or a mushroom type of image. Worth five minutes as a curiosity, if you get a chance.
