Final Verdict on The Night Marchers
The Night Marchers is an interesting little piece of found-footage history that just happens to be getting another shot at an audience 25 years after it was made, which is always good. It’s definitely rough, the acting is questionable, and the production values are about what you’d expect from a $40,000 independent horror movie made in 2001. But the Hawaiian location was interesting enough and the folklore too, and I also liked the fact that the filmmakers were using legends from the place they grew up with, so while it’s not particularly scary by modern standards, but as an obscure early-2000s found-footage curiosity, it had its moments.
