Is It Worth Watching?
Yeah, I’d say so, if you’re into horror that messes with your head, then As Above, So Below is definitely worth checking out, and If you’re into psychological horror and claustrophobic thrills, this movie will give you exactly what you’re after.   [Read the full review]

Excerpt: “As Above, So Below” is a found footage film that... chronicles young polymath Scarlett Marlowe in her search for the Philosopher’s Stone...As the characters move deeper and deeper underground, everything slowly becomes more surreal. The nightmarish visuals and solid performances deliver a true sense that the film is descending into Hell itself...As Above, So Below excels at creating its own mythos and a creepy atmosphere to back it up."

I'm giving this movie 10/10. It became one of my favorite movie & below are reasons why: First, it's original, different from other horror movies, which brings interesting story, where crowd of few people seek historic relic & treasure. Movie was very eerie & creepy, especially when they go deeper & deeper close to hell. Some very strong & intense moments. Atmosphere was also eerie cause whole movie happens in damn catacombs. If you have Claustro… read the rest.

Great watch, would watch again, and can recommend.

It is found footage in the catacombs of France so in addition to shaky cam and odd angles, it does feel really claustrophobic at points. If you were okay with "The Descent", then you're likely fine.

This is based off of a real thing that people do, exploring existing structures, some lost through history, others unused, and even more that are assumed inaccessible from the the layman.

Expected very little going in and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. “As Above, So Below” will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The attention to detail in this film is impressive, with each scene meticulously crafted to create a sense of unease and tension while maintaining an internal consistency unusual in the horror genre.

There’s a chance that this was lost on some viewers. Perhaps it’s just the found-f… read the rest.

Alchemy experience not required
It is hard to base a horror movie on something as esoteric as alchemy. However, this movie does a good job in explaining the basic principles well enough so that you can become engrossed in the story. The tension is real and the characters act almost naturally, which is by far good enough for a movie like this. There are some d deeply disturbing scenes and a few very lovely twists. I enjoyed this movie.
