Overview

First of all, I just went to watch this because I've seen the other two, which I kind of enjoyed, but I didn't have much expectation when I went to see this. And I was still disappointed. I felt like the plot was very weak and I was confused about what they were doing most of the time. There was plenty of singing and dancing, obviously, which was good for the most part. Almost poor, but <em>'Pitch Perfect 3'</em> has just enough about it to avoid it being a chore to sit through.
I didn't enjoy it, it's definitely the weakest of the series. With that said, there is somehow still narrowly enough there to stop it becoming bad - just. The shorter run time helps, while the musical numbers are a step up on <em>'Pitch Perfect 2'</em> in my opinion; the <em>Toxic</em> end is fun.

After Pitch Perfect 1, it's like the creatives behind the campy classic lost themselves in the idea of grandiosity, like what would make the PP franchise better would be bigger, epic acts that nothing have to do with the true nature of what made the first one so lovable and endearing: its simplicity.
