Overview

Lasseter is smart enough to tell us a completely different story than in the first movie. However, it is far from other titles like "Toy Story" or "The Incredibles".

I like <em>'Cars 2'</em>.
It doesn't deserve to be held in the same bracket as 2006's <em>'Cars'</em>, but that doesn't mean there's not a good time to be had with it. The premise mixes motorsport with espionage, admittedly they don't execute it incredibly but it's still satisfactory to see unfold.

You know, I think I preferred this to the original. This time, the eager young "Lightning McQueen" is goaded by Italian champ "Francesco" into taking part in the inaugural "World Grand Prix". To be honest, from a person who loves the Cars Franchise this movie is definitely the worst cars movie ever and one of the worst pixar movies i've ever watched. Cars 2 steps away from the plot points and sole purpose and emotion of the first film and instead focuses on a spy plot and focuses on Mater. Mater is supposed to be the comic relief character, not the main one. Overall, just a bad film. 3/10
